SERANG – The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Kemendes PDT) is set to boost its Tourism Village program around the Anyer-Carita-Cinangka area to further develop the tourism sector in the region.
This was stated by the Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Mendes PDT), Yandri Susanto, during the grand opening of the Mövenpick Resort Carita on Sunday morning (May 17, 2026).
"We have a Tourism Village program, which will be utilized to develop the tourism potential in the Anyer-Carita-Cinangka region," Minister Yandri said.
In the future, Minister Yandri explained, these Tourism Villages will collaborate with hotel operators, such as Mövenpick Resort Carita, to design tour packages capable of attracting tourists to local destinations.
Minister Yandri also expressed hope that Mövenpick Resort Carita would actively empower local residents, not only by hiring them as workforce but also through structured community empowerment initiatives.
He is optimistic that the presence of the Mövenpick resort will heighten tourists' interest in visiting the Anyer-Carita-Cinangka area, given the premium facilities it offers.
